Meeting With the Board
The Assessor has the authority to "stipulate" to a reduction with a property owner prior to the date that the Board of Assessment Review meets, so it is beneficial to a property owner to do their research and make an appointment to meet with the Assessor prior to the 4th Tuesday in May if they feel they have a valid case. Any reduction agreed to between a property owner and the Assessor will be ratified by the Board of Assessment Review.
